Lecture on meritorious activities at Ryukoku University

Wat Phra Dhammakaya Osaka and Wat Phra Dhammakaya Tokyo were honored to lecture and arrange meritorious activities at Ryukoku University.

Biggest Congregation of Buddhist Monks

Wat Phra Dhammakaya organized the Maha Sangha Dana Offering Ceremony to 30,000 temples to celebrate the Earthday and the 71 Birthday Anniversary of Phratepyanmahamini, Chief Abbot of Wat Phra Dhammakaya on 22 April 2015. There are around 50,000 of monks and novices across Thailand and world wide participated the ceremony.

History of the End of Buddhist Lent Day

The final day of Buddhist Lent falls on the 15th day of the 11th waxing moon. This day marks the end of the three months Rains-retreat known as ‘Buddhist Lent’ in which monks had earnestly dedicated themselves to the study of Buddhist scriptures and meditation practice.
